When they show the history, she was pretty sweet and seemed rather. A mysterious man with a cape and long hair, chiseled face. I can see a lot of similar things between Eutus of this show and Kaze from Final Fantasy Unlimited making feel that they went for stereotypes. Long story short, it's when things that don't make sense become funny when you're running on very little sleep.) The character designs are rather generic mostly. (The reason for this is a very long story. Part of the fun was that I had no sleep and had a moment of what I call 'ask me if I'm a stone' moment. The idea is hard to figure out and really makes me feel a bit stupid but as I was watching this in the early morning, I didn't really care. Where FLCL had an underlining meaning about growing up, this one seems to be about dealing with change. Now, just like in FLCL, this show seems to have an underlining story line behind it all but most of the time, I think it's lost in translation. It's just pure insanity and that's what makes it funny I think. A lot of this stuff is odd and like Puni Puni Poemi or Excel Saga. It wasn't boring at all to me because the story line just went a bit crazy for these two children. I watched it mostly to see what the hell they would come up with next. The first part is like a slice of life show, the second part is really created like a video game like a RPG, the third is a Star Wars Parody the list goes on and on of what this show seems to do. I think Gainax just loves to create some tripped out shows. What do I know, I'm just some guy on the internet. So yeah, I like this anime, but hay, everyone's entitled to their opinions I guess. I think the subs are better than the dubs, and that the series is funny and fantastic all round. In fact compared to most of the episodes, the last one is pretty calm and collective. I also hardly think the ending of this anime was "epic". Gainax wrote and produced Abenobashi, if someone else did it, it would be something else like Cold Mountine or whatever. If he's had different parents, he wouldn't be him. It's like saying a mate of mine would have been better off if he'd had different parent's. It's IS a Gainax product, it couldn't ever be anything else. Saying "This series was ruined by poor characterization and by being a Gainax product" doesn't make any sense. But the entire series is made by Gainax, so of course it's going to have it's fingerprints all over it. Saying that Gainax started leaving its fingerprints on the series near the end makes it sound like production was taken over by them from another team. I disagree with the comment left by 'garfnerkopin97'.
